Melanie Jardine received her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ, and her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, MA. She has performed in the U.S. and Canada - most notably with the Canadian Opera Company, before moving back home to NL in 2010.

Since moving home, Melanie has performed with Opera on the Avalon (Ours, Into the Woods, Phantom of the Opera), Best Kind Productions (Fun Home), Atlantic Light Theatre (Sister Act), Theatre St. John’s (Annie), and most recently with Terra Bruce Productions (No Change in the Weather).

In addition to performing, Melanie is a dedicated advocate for the arts and music education. She is a board member for Opera on the Avalon and is the current President of the Newfoundland and Labrador Registered Music Teachers’ Association. She has also served as a Vocal Facilitator for the Growing the Voices: Festival 500 program, So You Always Wanted to Sing, and is a frequent adjudicator for Kiwanis and Rotary festivals throughout the province.

Melanie takes great joy in teaching her private voice and piano studio in the Paradise area, helping students of all ages achieve their musical goals. She is absolutely thrilled to be adjudicating at the 2026 Corner Brook Rotary Music Festival!
